Residential Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the operations of multiple client homes located in Toledo, Ohio. The Residential Manager is responsible for ensuring each home is safe, well-maintained, and operating in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
About the role
This role provides direct supervision and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, timeliness, performance accountability, and overall team effectiveness. The Residential Manager will assess staff-client compatibility, monitor attendance and professionalism, provide coaching and corrective action as needed, and foster a positive, person-centered environment in each home.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and committed to promoting quality care, dignity, and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities while maintaining strong operational oversight.
What you will do
Lead and supervise staff to deliver personalized care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Oversee medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and health assessments to ensure residents' safety and well-being. Coordinate with healthcare professionals for resident health management, including nursing home experience and assisted living protocols.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and behavioral management strategies.
Manage day-to-day operations of the residence, including cleaning, meal preparation, transportation (driving), and general maintenance to uphold a clean, safe environment.
Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and support social work initiatives that enhance residents' emotional well-being.
Proven experience in senior care settings such as retirement homes, nursing homes, or personal care homes with a strong understanding of assisted living environments.
Skilled in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic health assessments.
Valid driver’s license for transportation needs; experience in home & community care is advantageous.
Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and required records in accordance with state and agency guidelines.
Promote a culture of dignity, respect, independence, and inclusion across all residential settings.
